AEOLI Acquisition

Those who know me know that a big part of my plan in moving to Seattle involved sailing. Even before leaving Indiana, I was tracking the Pacific Northwest boat market. I almost daily have pored over Yachtworld.com, Craigslist, and all the local classifieds, and I have gone to look at the ones I thought to be reasonable. After seeing Aeoli, I decided to go for it much earlier than expected.

She is a 1968 Camper & Nicholsons Nicholson 32. Old, but of excellent pedigree and very well kept. Unbelievably, the orginal owner was parting with her after forty years. Built in England, lived on and sailed all over the Med, across the Atlantic, through the Panama Canal, and up the west coast of the U.S. to the Puget Sound. Everything fell into place with the sea trial and survey, a slip sublet, and negotiations. I closed on 9 December 2008.
