Day 9: Departing Newport

We are headed out shortly, aiming to make the 430nm to Drake's Bay, just inside Point Reyes. Arrival sometime on Wednesday, give or take. Our back up is Crescent City should we need it.

    Point Reyes by Wed! That's so fast! You'll be right at our doorstep. We went camping there a couple years ago. It's beautiful and there are a lot of elk. And a lot of fog. You'll get a real San Fran welcome :).

    Thanks for the updates Matt.

    I'm glad you have not had to use the spue bucket yet. Why would you, there is perfectly good fender for that. How is judging the distance between the boat and the dock when pulling in? Hope you don't have as much trouble as I did, my good forehead smashing incident. It's great keeping up with your trip brother. I am happy knowing you are living life every single day.
